Meet our owner team

Patrick Antenucci (he/him): A recent Clevelander but Northeast Ohio native, Patrick graduated from Youngstown State University with his Bachelor’s in English. Working at a used bookstore in 2020 was a revelation in two ways: he loved connecting customers with books and hated having a boss. Realizing the paucity and under consideration of disability lit, he founded Nightlight Books in 2023, transitioning it to a co-op enterprise in 2024. Favorite types of books include genre bending short stories that scoff at easy categorization, fantasy tomes with vertigo inducing lore drops, pop culture criticism of the mishmash variety, and, of course, disability justice essay collections.

Allie Mackerty (they/them): Allie is an avid reader and Clevelander. They have a customer service and communications background and enjoy chatting about books with friends and family. They are willing to give any book a chance, especially if it comes with a personal recommendation (what better way to get to know someone than by reading their favorite book?) In their free time they enjoy creating art, rescuing cats, and learning how to make the world a slightly less awful place.

Ellen Euclide (she/her): Ellen is a queer Midwesterner who loves skiing and good food. Her reading taste depends on the day and there is always a book in her purse, be it romance novel or essay collection. Born with a congenital disability, Ellen was shaped by the adaptive sports community and later found her political home with the anarchists of the Catholic Worker. She’s excited to be part of the Nightlight Books and build the disability justice community in Cleveland!
